What it is

What's the difference between ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001?
OHSAS 18001 was the previous safety standard and is now withdrawn. ISO 45001 replaced it in 2018 with a stronger focus on worker participation and leadership commitment. All certifications are now to ISO 45001.
What needs to be in the safety risk register?
The register covers all workplace hazards identified through our structured hazard identification process: physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, and organizational. We build it during the intake process.
Does it cover subcontractors and visitors?
ISO 45001 covers all persons under the organization's control, including contractors, temporary workers, and visitors. We document the control measures for each group.
Do we need to have zero incidents to get certified?
No. Certification is about demonstrating systematic management of safety, not zero incidents. Auditors look at your processes, documentation, and evidence of continuous improvement.
How long does the certificate last?
